Andy Murray and how hard it is to "unhook" from feeling special -
Murray's story is paradigmatic of the extent to which pro sport is insane and to what extent athletes need the adrenaline rush of competition as if it were a drug they cannot do without.

PTPA is being backed up by the NBPA,MLBPA and NHLPA.Started by Pospisil and Djokovic. In the opposition to this are the other 2 most-influential tennis players:Nadal and Federer and ofc tennis stablishment. Who were right at the end of the day? #Novak biggest legacy. GOAT stuff.

@ladybellatennis It's 6 years of difference, not 10, not 15. Djokovic and Nadal have both proven it's still possible to play at near enough peak level past 30, and Federer showed that himself in 2017.

@gigicat7_ Yes mr. Toni Nadal you have a valid concern /reason about Federer being physically in shape to go thru grueling 3 to 5 sets against fairly young guns' physicality and quick reflexes. If RF makes thru Round 3 of first week, that's half the battle.

@JayaSub6 @aiamjames Federer, on the other hand, faced Roddick, Hewitt,an upcoming(and peaking) Rafa in his prime years, and when he was aging he again had a prime Novak and Nadal to face. Who does Novak get to face in his later years, a failing next gen.

@JayaSub6 @aiamjames What bugs me though is that Djokovic's fanbase, much like him, also disrespect their rivals, mostly Federer. The fact that Novak faced an aging Federer in his prime, and an aging Nadal and an old Fed when he was aging helped him. (...)

@eduardomendesr5 @matthewblack86 @ladybellatennis @ArminCFC_ @sweetjesus097 Djokovic was “no longer a teenager” in 2007. Yet he won only one slam between 2007 and 2010? He was 6-13 vs Federer until 2011? Look at you bringing Nadal into this because you know Djokovic was a trash lapdog until Federer turned 30.

@thetoewsera @matthewblack86 @ladybellatennis @ArminCFC_ @sweetjesus097 Plus Federer defeating a 35 year old Sampras when he won his first Slam and having no other competitor at the same level as him is a huge achievement.

The truth is that the moment Djokovic and Nadal were no longer teenagers, Federer glory days were over.
