Finally finished Sonic CD. Never had a Sega CD as a youngin so this one doesn’t emotionally resonate like the Genesis titles, but still was fun! Almost no cheap deaths, and the time travel mechanic is interesting.

@SoaringLuceXX Never played this collection, but what I do know is that Sonic Origins has the the Christian Whitehead mobile remakes of 1 and 2, which are just better versions of the games. Plus the CW mobile version of CD which is absent from the collection.

Sonic 1 has a lot of bad design choices Sonic CD is. kinda bad if you're doing true good ending otherwise kinda meh? Sonic 2 is great, but imo Sky Chase and Wing Fortress are pretty weak Sonic 3&K is just banger after banger of levels, and has an actually good water level

First time beating Sonic 2. Its good, I definitely think its better designed than CD, but I think CD is more fun. The Special Stages could be terrible, but Super Sonic makes it worth it. Metropolis Zone is just as bad as I've always heard it was.

@thomas_rsvd Sonic CD doesn’t have level design that’s like THIS MUCH as marble zone. Sonic CD has a nice emphasis mix on platforming and speed, having you adapt to the terrain around you to go fast to time travel. Honestly, I really like it for that.

One of the worst inconsistencies between the games in origins is the odd number of characters in each game, in sonic 1 there are 3 characters, sonic cd there are 2, sonic 2 there are a whopping 5, and sonic 3&k there are 4, very odd

HOT TIP on how to change the Sonic CD music in #SonicOrigins' story mode: Although you can't access the options menu from story mode, any options changed in anniversary mode will also affect story mode. So, just fire up anniversary mode, change the soundtrack there, and voila!

sonic the hedgehog in sonic & knuckles in a 32x stacked on two other 32xs in a game genie in a genesis in a sega cd. pretty good lineup. would have added more points for an xband or a master system converter but the 3 32xs precariously in the genie adds chaos points 7/10

@Sonic_Frontier I ran into one air bubble glitch on Labyrinth Zone, a few sound loading bugs in Sonic 2 when messing with Tails before a Spical stage loading, and the gears in Metropolis forcing you into a ball and not letting you jump. Ran into nothing in CD about to play 3&K. (Switch Version)

The people complaining about Sonic CD's time traveling system is honestly a skill issue. The game is designed around this mechanic, and you don't even need to go that fast. Plus when you are in the air, you will not lose your ability to travel. Use springs to your advantage.
